Restful Sleep

Is restful sleep really that important? I mean sleep is sleep right? Wrong. Restful sleep is the foundation for our mental and physical well being. Restful sleep eludes millions of people who suffer from various sleep disorders. A lack of restful sleep also contributes to both minor and major injury accidents. It's also alot easier to become sick without restful sleep.

Studies on how important restful sleep is have shown that if you wake up at 3:00 in the morning and do not get back to sleep your immune cells do not work as well for the next 24 hours. Once you have a full night of sound restful sleep, they regain their disease-fighting abilities. People with a chronic lack of restful sleep may cause more serious problems than a simple tendency to just doze off the next day.

People who do not get enough restful sleep on a regular basis may become less sensitive to insulin. Lack of restful sleep and becoming less sensitive to insulin which, over time can raise their risk for obesity, high blood pressure, and of course diabetes. A chronic lack of restful sleep, a poor diet, a sedentary lifestyle,(WHICH MEANS YOU DONT EXERCISE) along with aging and chronic stress all contribute to a high risk factor for type 2 diabetes. Now if you can't sleep or don't sleep well like me you may need help. I personally rely on sleep aids. After trying many different products I found one that works for me. Somnien which you can only get over the Internet, is an excellent product. However you go about it as you can see a good nite of restful sleep on a regular basis could mean the difference between a long healthy life, and a much shorter miserable one.
