Sleep Deprivation

Sleep deprivation is not a fun state to be in. Sleep deprivation is pretty much self explanatory. It basically means you are being deprived of sleep. Sleep deprivation has been a topic of study done by many various sleep institutions. It has also been used as a means of torture. Many people suffer from sleep deprivation not realizing the detrimental effects it is having on them.


Sleep deprivation effects mollions of people in our fast paced world. We ignore our circadian clocks and are fast becoming a society of insomniacs due to self inflicted sleep deprivation. We are a tired and sleep deprived nation. Sleep deprivation has infiltrated our society so completely mosy of us don't even realize it. We live in a 24 hour a day world. It's been estimated that a persons average nightly sleeping time has been reduced by approximately 2-3 hours over the last 100 years or so. With that in mind is it any wonder that so many of us suffer from sleep deprivation.


Unfortunately the number of people suffering from sleep deprivation is on the rise. There are a number of things that can cause sleep deprivation including but notn limited to sleep apnea, stress, sleep walking, night terrors, Insomnia, etc. There are also several different ways to combat sleep deprivation. One way to get rid of sleep deprivation would be to get rid of stress in your life. Another way to beat sleep deprivation depending on whats causing it is see a doctor. Since stress is not all that easy to get rid of, another way to get sleep deprivation out of your life is to try sleep aids. One of the best sleep aids on the market today is somnien.
